Isn’t it fantastic that every musical fragment could someday be a message in a bottle? We never know how it will journey out into the world, reflecting, nor how it may return to us in time – we never know when we’ll get the reply. I recorded this fragment called, ‘Clouds Clouds’ a long time ago, in 2003. Suddenly, last year in 2011, this record inspired my friend and visual artist, Anna Gabo, to create a video for it. It was filmed and edited in Riga and the idea is based on capturing the emotion of moving objects that are taken out of their regular context. When I watch this video, I can’t imagine the audio fragment without it. It was the missing piece of the puzzle.
